Gratitude for the Divine

Been thinking a lot about the Divine Feminine & also the Divine Masculine.

Awhile back, I started ending my Yoga classes with the statement:

“The divine light, the divine feminine & the divine masculine in me, sees honors and reflects the divine light, divine feminine, and the divine masculine in the collective We. Remembering we are all from our mother’s blood and father’s seed, Mom + Dad + Spirit.”

The statement is the Truth, yet sometimes it’s uncomfortable to say and I’ve been told that it’s also uncomfortable to receive. Folks usually embrace one aspect, and reject the other. So I’m encouraging folks to lean into that and ask ourselves, ‘why?’

Why is this important?

Understanding & questioning our discomfort & dis-ease is what allows us to consciously release inherited habits & beliefs in order to heal & evolve back into human kind.

I’ve been pushing back a little on the “traditional” Yoga teachings. Some elements and aspects have not sat well on my heart for awhile. I have been talking to some of my Yoga guides: @thirdeyefell, @lindawellnesswarrior, @marleneboyette @melissalexis & @davidvendetti about the history, the movement, the violence that has happened in the taking, and white washing, patronizing…
